Some information concerning to the organization of your tour in Ecuador.
THE TEAM
The guide
- An Ecuadorian english speaking guide for trekkings and hikings
- An Ecuadorian english speaking guide for high mountaineering and an assistant high mountain guide for climbing Cotopaxi and Chimborazo (a guide for every two people).
- For the other trips, a professional Ecuadorian english speaking guide plus the local team
- A professional driver of the bus, minibus, van or 4x4
- For trekking programs with camping or nights in refuges: a cook (when the group is over 7, when the group is small the guide cooks)
TRANSPORT
Private buses, minibuses, vans or 4x4 for the whole tour except for the trip in public transport.
HOTELS
- In cities: high standard category.
- In Quito and Guayaquil: 4 stars hotels (local standard)
- Baños, Cuenca, Otavalo, Puerto López, Riobamba and Los Chillos Valley: 3 stars hotels (local standard)
- In La Esperanza, Urbina, Chaupi: Hostals typical of the area, accomodation and facilities to share.
- In Cuicocha, Chugchilan and Lasso: comfortable hostals with double rooms and private bathroom
- Amazonia: Lodges comfortable with cabins to share among 2 to 4 people.
- Cotopaxi and Chimborazo: rather comfortable mountain refuges.
- Camping: Excellent quality tents to share, 2 persons. Toilet tent with seat.
We offer hotels rather comfortable, charming and of good quality. We make sure you have hotels in certain places with wonderful surroundings and above all, near to the places to be visited.
Do not hesitate to ask for more information if you want to upgrade the standard of the hotel or get a single room (subject to availiability at the time of your booking) during your trip. This is not possible in Refuges, the amazon lodges and smaill hostals.
MEALS
- High mountaineering and trekking: very consistant lunches and dinners. Ecuadorian products allow to have varied menus and above all, of good quality.
- Towns and Cities: Food is taken in restaurants
LUGGAGE
- Treks: Each traveller carries only a day light personal ruck sack, with the necessary things for the day.
- In all the trips you always have a private transport available to assist you during tour (except for the one in public transport)
